Visit to the Puppet Theatre Museum

MS had a great time visiting the Puppet Theare Museum on Wednesday this week.
We set off around 9.30am from school. The children were very excited about going on such a big bus.
We sang songs in English and French on our way downtown.

Seat belts on for the journey.

All arrived safely......let the fun begin!

We were treated to a traditional puppet show and the children were shown the different types of puppets and even had a chance to do some shadow puppets of their own. We looked around the small museum and then had a picnic lunch nearby.

In the museum.
Everyone wanted to pull a funny face in the crazy mirrors!

Then it was time to head back to school. It was lovely for the children to experience a puppet theatre ahead of their own performance at the end of year show on the 1st June at 3.30pm.
We really hope you can come and join us!

Please arrive a little early for a seat in the centre section with the best view!

Best wishes,
Sarah Kriel.

Play date in the British Section

On Tuesday we had a play date with the Reception classes in the British Section. MS had great fun, playing nicely with all the other children and enjoying all the fun activities both indoor and out.
Here are some photos for you.

During our visits the children are encouraged to speak English although some were teaching a few words of French to their new friends! The children socialised very well, meeting new faces and sharing toys in a new environment.
We will continue with this until Easter.

Best wishes,
Sarah Kriel
MS English Teacher.

Language Week Parade

Yesterday was our parade to celebrate all the different languages the children at TES are associated with and the countries they are from. We had a total of 51 flags being paraded around the school which made for a very colourful spectacle.
MS looked amazing and thank you to all parents for putting so much thought into the children's outfits.
They really looked great!

We paraded around the infant playground together with the British and German sections.

Everyone enjoyed having their photos taken.

After the parade we coloured our flags making sure the colours were in the right places!!

We found out where our countries were on the map

We have 10 different nationalities in our class so lots to talk about!
In the afternoon a Chinese author came to school and we listened to traditional stories in the amphitheatre.
At the end of the day we finished with a book about differences and similarities of children around the world.

Lots more exciting activities this week for the children to enjoy with lots of learning in the process,
Best wishes for the New Year,

Sarah Kriel
MS English Teacher

Мультфильм Репка

Dear parents, here is what the MS wanted to tell, with their own words, about the great event of the day: the tasting of a French pizza, the pissaladière.
Everything is in capital letters because the students start to recognize some words. I put them in bold.

AUJOURD'HUI C'EST MERCREDI.
LA MAMAN DE THOMAS A APPORTÉ DE LA PISSALADIÈRE.

DANS LA PISSALADIÈRE, IL Y A DES PETITS POISSONS.
IL Y A AUSSI DES OIGNONS.
DANS LA PISSALADIÈRE, IL Y A DES OLIVES AU-DESSUS.

LES ENFANTS DE LA CLASSE, ILS ONT GOUTÉ ET IL Y A DES ENFANTS QUI TROUVENT QUE C'EST BON ET IL Y A DES ENFANTS QUI TROUVENT QUE C'EST PAS BON  PARCE QU'IL Y A TROP DE SEL.
